Race days, spectator area — EA
Campania · Napoli · (0)About this listing
On September 25, 26 and 27, the America's Cup races are held on AC40s. You board in the morning, attend the daily briefing and sail towards the race course in the Gulf of Naples; you position yourself in the area reserved for spectator boats and watch the scheduled practice races — three for each race day, at 14:10, 14:46 and 15:27 — with the race radio on board. At the end, return sailing. On the 27th, the last day, the match race final starts at 15:30 and the outing returns later. EA is a Solaris 39 from the Serigi shipyard, one of seven examples built. 11.5 metres of hull, 3.7 of beam, 2.7 of draft. It is moored at Chiaiolella, in Procida, and from its port the race course in the gulf is reached in approximately two and a half hours of sailing.
